Mukho Harbour Walk with Spicy or Clear-Broth Noodles
See Mukho Harbour along Ilchul-ro and choose between red-broth jang-kalguksu and clear-broth noodles.
Harbour, street, noodle bowl
- Begin with the public harbour area and market surroundings that are accessible that day.
- Continue along the Ilchul-ro street area toward number 10-1, using pedestrian paths and crossings.
- Find Ottugi Kalguksu (오뚜기칼국수). Check the queue and choose the broth before ordering.

Start at the harbour
Mukho Harbour (묵호항) is the coastal starting point in Donghae. The Korea Tourism Organization harbour guide describes its fish-market activity. Use the harbour and Ilchul-ro (일출로) as reference names when checking the local map.
Understand the two noodle choices
Kalguksu is a noodle soup. Jang-kalguksu (장칼국수) uses a red, chilli-paste-forward broth with vegetables and egg; its thicker soup stays hot. Huin-kalguksu (흰칼국수) leaves out the red paste and offers a clear-broth alternative. Clear broth is not a vegetarian guarantee, so ask about the stock if ingredients matter. Kal-mandutguk adds kimchi dumplings to the noodle bowl.
Keep the hill as an optional extension
The tourism guide to Nongoldam-gil describes separate lanes leading through the hillside neighbourhood. That climb is an additional decision after the meal. In strong wind or rain, shorten the exposed harbour stop rather than adding the hill. Check the restaurant before arrival; an old photograph or tourism article does not establish current service hours or parking access.
